Scheduling Posts

Scheduling lets you plan your content calendar weeks — or months — in advance. Set it and forget it: your posts go live automatically on the dates you choose.

The Schedule View

Your schedule is a calendar view in the Content → Schedule section of your dashboard. It shows:

• Blue dots – Scheduled posts
• Green dots – Published posts
• Empty days – No content scheduled

Click any date to see what's scheduled or to add a new post.

How to Schedule a Post

From the Draft or Review Stage

1. Open the post in the editor
2. Click the Schedule button (next to Publish Now)
3. Choose a date and time
4. Select which site to publish to (if you have multiple)
5. Click Schedule

The post moves to the Scheduled stage with the date you selected.

From the Schedule Calendar

1. Go to Content → Schedule
2. Click on a future date
3. Select a draft from the dropdown
4. Set the publish time
5. Confirm

Scheduling Tips

Best Practices

• Schedule 2–4 weeks ahead – This gives you a cushion if you get busy and miss a review window
• Publish on consistent days – Readers (and Google) appreciate regularity. Try publishing every Tuesday or Wednesday
• Consider time zones – Set publish times based on your audience's time zone, not yours
• Leave room for timely content – Keep 1–2 slots open each month for seasonal or trending topics

Rescheduling

Need to change a publish date? You can reschedule anytime:

1. Go to Content → Scheduled
2. Find the post
3. Click Reschedule
4. Pick a new date and time
5. Confirm

Rescheduling is instant — your readers won't see any disruption.

Canceling a Scheduled Post

To cancel a scheduled post:

1. Go to Content → Scheduled
2. Click the post you want to cancel
3. Click Cancel Schedule
4. Confirm

The post moves back to your drafts for later use.

Schedule Notifications

We'll send you reminders about your schedule:

• 3 days before a scheduled post – "Your post is publishing soon"
• Day of publish – "Your post went live!"
• If publishing fails – "We couldn't publish your post – please check your site connection"

Scheduling for Multiple Sites

On Growth and Studio plans, you can schedule different posts to different sites on different dates. Each site's schedule is color-coded in the calendar view.
