Content Pipeline
The content pipeline is the journey every post takes from idea to published article. Understanding this flow helps you manage your content effectively and know exactly what's happening at each stage.
Pipeline Stages
Your content moves through five stages:
Topics → Drafts → Review → Scheduled → Published
1. Topics
This is where everything starts. The AI generates topic ideas based on your content preferences. You can:
- Approve topics you like
- Reject ones that don't fit
- Request specific topics
Each topic includes a title suggestion, brief description, and target keywords.
Where to find them: Dashboard → Content → Topics More info: Generating Topics
2. Drafts
Approved topics move to the writing queue, where the AI generates full posts. Drafts are complete articles ready for your review.
Where to find them: Dashboard → Content → Drafts More info: Generating Posts
3. Review
Posts in review are waiting for your final approval. During this stage, you can:
- Make edits using the built-in editor
- Request revisions
- Add images
- Set SEO metadata
Where to find them: Dashboard → Content → In Review More info: Editing Posts
4. Scheduled
Posts with a future publish date live here. The pipeline shows:
- When each post is scheduled to publish
- Which site it will publish to
- Whether it's set for auto-publish or manual publish
You can reschedule, edit, or cancel scheduled posts anytime.
Where to find them: Dashboard → Content → Scheduled or Dashboard → Schedule More info: Scheduling
5. Published
Posts that have gone live on your website. This archive shows:
- When each post was published
- Its final title and URL
- Performance metrics (views, if available)
- Whether it was auto-published or manually published
Where to find them: Dashboard → Content → Published
Even after a post is published, you can make changes. Edits to published posts will update the live version on your website (for WordPress, ShowIt, and Wix).
Pipeline Dashboard View
Your dashboard shows counts for each stage at a glance:
| Stage | What the Number Means |
|---|---|
| Topics Ready | Topic ideas waiting for your approval |
| In Progress | Topics the AI is currently writing |
| Awaiting Review | Completed drafts needing your review |
| Scheduled | Posts queued for publication |
| Published This Month | Posts that have gone live |
| Monthly Limit | Your plan's post limit for the month |
Managing Your Pipeline
Keeping Content Flowing
To keep a steady stream of content:
- Approve topics regularly – At least once a week
- Review drafts promptly – The sooner you review, the sooner posts can publish
- Schedule ahead – Queue posts 2–4 weeks in advance for consistent publishing
Pausing Content
Need a break? You can pause your content pipeline:
- Go to Settings → Content Preferences
- Toggle Pause Content Generation to on
- Any in-progress drafts will complete, but no new topics will be generated
When you're ready, toggle it off and content generation resumes.
Monthly Post Limits
Your plan includes a set number of posts per month:
| Plan | Posts Per Month |
|---|---|
| Solo | 4 |
| Growth | 10 |
| Studio | 25 |
Unused posts do not roll over to the next month. If you need more posts, consider upgrading your plan.
Pipeline for Multiple Sites
If you have multiple websites connected, each site has its own pipeline. You can switch between sites using the site selector at the top of the Content section. Each site's pipeline operates independently.
