Media Management
Photos are the heart of your blog — after all, you're a photographer. Our media management tools make it easy to add your images to generated posts.
Adding Images to Posts
There are several ways to add your photography to posts:
Upload Directly
- Open a post in the editor
- Click on an image placeholder (or the Add Image button)
- Upload a photo from your computer
- The image is added to the post and your media library
Use Your Media Library
If you've uploaded images before, they're saved in your media library:
- In the editor, click Add Image
- Select From Library
- Browse or search your uploaded images
- Click to insert
Image Placeholders
Generated posts include image placeholders marked with [Image: description] or a visual placeholder in the editor. These show:
- Where an image should go in the content flow
- What kind of image would work best (e.g., "Featured image: outdoor portrait session" or "Inline image: detail shot of wedding bouquet")
Image placeholders are just suggestions. Feel free to rearrange, replace, or remove them however you like.
Image Requirements
For best results, use images that meet these guidelines:
| Requirement | Recommendation |
|---|---|
| Minimum width | 1200 pixels |
| Aspect ratio | 16:9 or 4:3 |
| File format | JPEG or WebP |
| Max file size | 10 MB per image |
| Orientation | Landscape works best for featured images |
Your Media Library
The media library stores all images you've uploaded to the platform.
Accessing the Library
Go to Content → Media in your dashboard. You'll see:
- All uploaded images in a grid view
- Image names, file sizes, and upload dates
- Which posts each image is used in
- Quick search and filter options
Organizing Images
Tag your images for easier organization:
- Open the media library
- Click on an image
- Add tags like "Wedding," "Portrait," "Commercial," or "Behind the Scenes"
- Filter by tags when searching
Bulk Upload
You can upload multiple images at once:
- Go to Content → Media
- Click Upload
- Select multiple files (hold Ctrl or Cmd to select more)
- Add optional tags for the batch
- Click Upload All
Image Optimization
Images uploaded through the platform are automatically optimized for web use:
- Resized to appropriate display dimensions
- Compressed to reduce file size without visible quality loss
- Converted to modern formats when beneficial
This keeps your blog pages loading fast — important for both user experience and SEO.
Featured Images
Every post needs a featured image — the main image that appears at the top of the post and when the post is shared on social media.
To set a featured image:
- Open the post in the editor
- Click the Featured Image area at the top of the post
- Upload a new image or select from your library
- Adjust the focal point if needed
- Save
Posts without featured images may not display properly when shared on social media. Always set a featured image before publishing.
Deleting Images
To remove an image from your media library:
- Go to Content → Media
- Click the image
- Click Delete
- Confirm
Deleting an image from the library does not remove it from published posts. It only removes it from the library and any future use.
Storage Limits
Your plan determines how much media storage you have:
| Plan | Storage |
|---|---|
| Solo | 1 GB |
| Growth | 5 GB |
| Studio | 25 GB |
Uploaded images count toward your storage. Optimized versions of your images are stored separately but don't count toward your limit.
