Content Preferences

Your content preferences tell our AI everything it needs to know to write posts that sound like you and resonate with your audience. This is one of the most important setup steps — getting it right means better content from day one.

How Preferences Work

Your preferences act as a creative brief for every post we generate. They're organized into four categories.

1. Your Photography Business

This section helps the AI understand who you are and what you do:

Be specific about your unique selling points. Instead of just "quality photography," try "candid, documentary-style wedding photography with a fine art editing approach." The more detail you provide, the more authentic your posts will sound.

2. Writing Style and Tone

Control how your posts read:

ToneDescriptionBest For
ProfessionalPolished and authoritativeCommercial photographers, corporate clients
FriendlyWarm and conversationalWedding, portrait, family photographers
CasualRelaxed and approachableLifestyle, personal branding
LuxuriousElegant and refinedHigh-end wedding, luxury brands

You can also set:

3. Topics and Keywords

Tell us what subjects you want your blog to cover:

4. Topics to Avoid

Equally important is what you don't want us to write about:

Managing Multiple Sites

If you're on the Growth or Studio plan with multiple websites, each site gets its own content preferences. For example:

You can set different preferences for each connected website. Just select the site at the top of the Content Preferences page before making changes.

Updating Your Preferences

Your preferences aren't set in stone. You can update them anytime:

  1. Go to Settings → Content Preferences in your dashboard
  2. Make your changes
  3. Click Save Preferences

Changes apply to future content generation — existing drafts and published posts won't be affected.

What Happens After You Set Preferences

Once your preferences are saved, our AI immediately starts generating topic ideas based on your settings. You'll typically see your first batch of topics within 24 hours. Learn more in Generating Topics.
