Connecting Websites — Overview
To publish blog posts automatically, The Photographers' Blogger needs access to your website. We support four major platforms, with different connection methods and capabilities for each.
Supported Platforms

"Manual" publish means we generate the post content, and you copy-paste it into Squarespace's editor. Auto-publish is coming for Squarespace — we'll notify you when it's available.
Connection Requirements
Before connecting your website, make sure you have:
- Admin-level access to your website platform
- Your login credentials handy
- The URL of your website (e.g.,
yourphotography.com)
You do not need any technical skills. Each connection method is designed to be straightforward.
How the Connection Works
The connection is encrypted and secure. Here's what happens behind the scenes:
- We store an encrypted connection token — never your actual password
- The connection is used only to publish content you've approved
- You can revoke access at any time from your website's settings or from your dashboard
Multi-Site Connections
Depending on your plan, you can connect multiple websites:

Each site gets its own connection and content preferences. You can set different topics, tones, and publishing schedules for each site.
If you manage different photography brands (e.g., wedding photography and real estate photography), you can set up separate sites with tailored content for each audience.

Troubleshooting Connections
If you run into issues connecting your site:
- "Connection failed" – Double-check your credentials. For WordPress, make sure you're using an application password, not your regular password.
- "Site not found" – Verify your site URL is correct and includes the right domain (e.g.,
.com,.ca,.co.uk). - "Permission denied" – Make sure you have admin access to the website platform.
