A draft is never locked. Open it from the Content Pipeline with Edit and change anything you want before it goes live.
What you can edit
- Title (editable) — the headline readers and search engines see.
- SEO Keyword — the phrase the post is built around.
- URL Slug — the web address of the post.
- Meta Description — the search-result blurb, with a live character counter. Aim for 150–160 characters.
- Categories — how the post is grouped on your blog.
- Featured Image — the main photo at the top.
- The body itself — every paragraph, list, and heading.
Images
The Featured Image can come from your Website Library — your WordPress media library, searchable and paged — or you can upload your own.
Uploads can be JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, or SVG files, up to 10MB each, and you can delete uploads any time.
Some drafts include [Image: add your photo here] placeholders so you can drop in your own photos. Prefer stock photos instead? See Pexels stock images.
Tip
Nothing goes live while you edit. Your changes stay with the draft until the post publishes.
